We all have sinned
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God", Romans 3:23
God's Word reminds us that we all have sinned. The word sin means to miss the mark, or come short of perfection, by disobeying God. At one time or another, we have all chosen to disobey God whether by action, attitude or thought.
Sin has a penalty
"For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23
The wages (payment) for your sin is death and separation from God in a place the Bible calls Hell. This is the fate of every person who has not believed on Jesus Christ as Savior.
"And these shall go away into everlasting punishment..." Matthew 25:46
Jesus Christ paid the penalty of our sin
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Commendeth means proved. God proved His love for you by giving His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for your sin. Jesus died in your place and paid your penalty.
Believe and Accept by Faith what Jesus Christ did for you.
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:36
To believe is to trust. You have to completely trust Christ as your Savior and He alone can give you eternal life - He is the only way to Heaven. You have depend on Him for everlasting life.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." John 5:24
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9
Pray sincerely... and invite Jesus Christ into your heart
"Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and that I deserve Hell. I believe you died on the cross and paid the penalty of my sin, and rose again from the dead. I am placing my trust in you alone to forgive my sin and save me. Thank you for giving me eternal life. In Jesus' name..."
